Well

I think it's safe to say my last post made me sound like an upset little girl, giving that's what I felt like I think it's safe to say I conveyed myself well.

I miss home.

Although it is fully and well documented that University are meant to be the best years of your life, I can safely say that after a first day full of emotional turmoil and many a tear that I would have happily continued to reside in Swindon just for the safety element and being near to my girlfriend and friends as much as anything.

That being said, I managed to make some social effort with the people living in the same halls as me, this was so very vital given that I was, unfortunately, roomed with only one other person who is doing his 4th year and is employed by the institution in order to make sure that everything in the halls run smoothly. James, the said room-mate, is a pleasant fella and has an almsot reassuring nervy aroma about him. He is not at fault for previously mentioned turmoil. No one is, it was just an unfortunate circumstance.

I have however, managed to form a bond of some-sort with a group of what will almost definitely turn out to be the most popular people. Although they aren't normally the 'type' of people I would chose to socialise with excessively (and believe me I am almost certain that the vice versa is the same) but they all seem nice and open to new people. I hope this bodes well because being an outcast in a place where no one knows you is daunting to say the least. After the first day it is safe to say I will be returning home whenever possible in order to see Ella (aforementioned girlfriend) as much as possible, but hopefully will manage to be social and productive in the week and facilitate a normal University life-style. Especially considering that I do not drink, this would be an achievement.

More sorrows and woes to follow, I'm sure.

I've heard blogging is fun

From what I have heard, making a blog is a useful way to use your (free) time and can not only lead to your own but other people's enjoyment or at least minor entertainment. I am also looking for a way to disperse some creativity in an attempt to keep my mind ticking over for when I am University.

I have also become aware that blogging must usually follow some sort of trend, after some long and hard thought I have come to the conclusion that this is not going to be easy for someone's whose thoughts are sporadic as mine and therefore will instead pick a weekly subject and blog about that about 3 times a week. I move to University tomorrow so my first subject will be 'The beginning to life at University'. After my first week I will start to post this on Facebook and what have you, so if you're reading this a week from now, thank you.

Until I stop being a pussy and decide I should share my words, goodbye.
